As Turkey's largest publicly listed independent power producer, we are a global energy company operating in 7 countries with an installed capacity of over 3,000 MW. Our journey began in 1997, and we draw our strength from Kazancı Holding — a global powerhouse with roots dating back to the 1950s, operating across 4 continents, active in 24 countries, exporting to 178 countries, and employing over 17,000 people.
We carry out all power plant installation processes in-house with our competent technical teams, from project design to procurement, construction to assembly. We have successfully built and operated more than 40 power plants using various energy sources such as coal, fuel oil, biogas, natural gas, wind, sun and hydroelectricity. We continue to operate these power plants and bring our extensive experience and expertise in this field to countries in need of energy, offering fast and reliable solutions.
Following our investments in the KKTC, we set out with the goal of growing abroad, and took our first step on our globalization journey in 2015. By prioritizing efficiency and sustainability, we first brought our approach to the African continent, establishing power plants in Ghana, Madagascar, and Mali, and quickly commissioning them. We further strengthened our presence in Africa through foreign currency-denominated guaranteed electricity sales contracts. In 2020, we entered the Asian market with our operations in Uzbekistan. We continue to expand our global service network by closely following new investment projects in all geographies in need of energy. We are currently working with all our might to add value to the geographies in which we operate with 11 power plants in 7 countries.
We have been entitled to receive a pre-license for renewable energy power plants with RES and GES storage, which will have a total installed capacity of 891.41 MW in 10 cities across the Central Anatolia and Aegean Regions in the field of renewable energy. The realization of these projects will enable us to increase our resource diversity and contribute more effectively to the fight against climate change. By increasing our resource diversity with our renewable energy projects, we support the fight against climate change and continue our journey towards becoming a well-established energy company.
