Aksa Energy has been granted Turkey's first generation license for a renewable energy power plant with storage, marking a significant milestone for both the company and the country’s energy sector. Following the successful completion of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and all permitting processes, the company is set to commission the 100.08 MW Mersin Wind Power Plant with storage, taking a leading role in sustainable and efficient energy production.
With its “Sustainable High Growth” strategy, Aksa Energy prioritizes diversification of its energy portfolio and continues to invest in innovative renewable energy technologies to support the transition towards a greener and more reliable energy infrastructure. Once all licensed renewable energy projects with storage are completed, Aksa Energy’s total installed capacity will reach 891.41 MW, significantly contributing to Turkey’s energy supply security.

Highlighting the importance of renewable energy with storage, Aksa Energy Chairman and CEO Cemil Kazancı stated: "Renewable energy investments with storage are key to ensuring energy supply security and maintaining grid stability.
