Aksa Enerji Strengthens Its Position in the BIST Sustainability Index by Increasing Its ESG Score

Aksa Enerji has once again maintained its position in the BIST Sustainability Index while also improving its sustainability performance. Listed in the index since 2015, the company continues to reinforce its pioneering position in the sector with a strong commitment to environmental and social responsibility.

As part of the index updates announced by Borsa Istanbul (BIST), Aksa Enerji successfully retained its position across all indices, including the BIST Sustainability Index. Rated in the areas of environment, social, and governance by Refinitiv, an independent rating agency and a subsidiary of the London Stock Exchange, Aksa Enerji’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) score increased by 11 points compared to the previous year, reaching a score of 64.

Having been included in the BIST Sustainability Index uninterruptedly for the past nine years, Aksa Enerji places sustainability at the heart of its business processes and focuses on continuous improvement through long-term efforts in this field. Since 2016, the company has been publicly sharing its sustainability reports prepared in accordance with GRI Standards.

Aksa Enerji contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals including Gender Equality, Affordable and Clean Energy, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Reduced Inequalities, Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action, and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
