On January 21, 2021, Aksa Enerji signed a concession agreement with the Republic of Congo for the right to operate a natural gas power plant with an installed capacity of 50 MW located in the city of Pointe-Noire with its 100% subsidiary Aksa Energy Company Congo.
The natural gas used in the power plant is supplied from the local natural gas reserves of the Republic of Congo. It is planned to export the electricity generated to the Democratic Republic of Congo through the existing transmission system.
