Uzbekistan Tashkent B Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant (252 MW)

In addition to this power plant, a natural gas combined cycle power plant with an installed capacity of 230 MW was established at the same location as the A Power Plant in Tashkent. With the amendment of the agreement with NEGU (“National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan”), affiliated to the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan, the electricity generated in both power plants to be established in Tashkent will be sold for 25 years in return for a guaranteed capacity charge.

The ministry acceptance of Tashkent B Power Plant took place on May 5, 2022 and was commissioned, while the installed capacity of the power plant reached 252 MW with the last capacity increase. The plant has 24 Wärtsilä 20V34SG engines, 2 Dresser-Rand steam turbines and 24 Aalborg boilers.
