The Tashkent A Combined Cycle Natural Gas Power Plant, with an installed capacity of 240 MW, operates in line with the objectives of high efficiency, environmental sustainability and long-term energy supply security. The electricity generated at the plant is sold at a guaranteed capacity rate based on the US dollar for a period of 25 years.
The plant consists of four GE LM6000 gas turbines and two GE Thermodyne steam turbines, operating using combined cycle technology that provides high-efficiency electricity generation. This system maximises energy extraction from the natural gas used as fuel while significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
