The Bukhara Combined Cycle Natural Gas Power Plant has an installed capacity of 298 MW thanks to its high-efficiency production technology and robust infrastructure. As part of the modernisation project completed in November 2024, the plant's installed capacity was increased from 270 MW to 298 MW, and the electricity produced is sold at a guaranteed capacity rate based on the US dollar for a period of 25 years.
The plant has a combined cycle configuration consisting of 28 Wärtsilä 20V34SG gas engines and 2 Škoda Jinma steam turbines. This structure converts natural gas into electrical energy with high efficiency while maximising energy recovery by reusing waste heat through steam turbines.
The modernisation project has reduced environmental impact and significantly increased energy production capacity thanks to advanced engine technology and heat recovery systems.
